Are You Really Listening?

Eddie Yoon has a good post about Tapping into your Super-Consumers. We couldn’t help but think about the well documented complaints about the Apple App Store for its iPhone. Many developers are asking for transparency in the approval process, quicker turnaround time, and more open standards.

The Android platform has capitalized on this by touting an open platform. The fallout has not been too bad yet, Apple still reigns supreme, but as more notable people jump ship (e.g. lead developer for the Facebook iPhone app), will Apple be regretting not listening?

When you make a good product, people become passionate about it. If you can’t properly capitalize on that passion, you may very well ruin your own amazing product.
