The SF Weekly Food Blog had this great and humorous infographic about getting a free breakfast at Denny’s. They advertised during the Super Bowl that today would be a free Grand Slam on them.

This is a classic hook – offer something of value for free, and hope they will get something else. Most people will inevitably order more food in addition to the free breakfast, giving Denny’s a nice boost. The important thing for Denny’s is to make sure the food is good enough to make people want to come back.
