How to effectively solve your problems

So how do you deal with your problems?

Of course, there is no one way of solving a problem. That’s good news. But the fact that there is no one way of doing it might overwhelm you. This may even cause you to stop and just stare at the problem.

It’s comforting to know that there are general guidelines that will help make the process faster. Here they are:

Accept that there’s a problem.

Acknowledging a problem may be hard, but it actually takes out the fantasy that some superhero is going to take all the bad thing away and save your day. Just stating that you acknowledge it allows your mind to focuses your attention on it, and immediately look for ways to solve it. By acknowledging the problem, you are taking responsibility for coming up with a solution to the difficulty. Own up to it. Then solve it.

Write them down.

Your mind is so full of other things. Many problems haunt you. So why not disencumber your mind and write these things down? When you do, you’ll be surprised at how easy things will then seem to be. Well, not easy as in “easy” easy, but everything will be placed in their proper perspective. You’ll be surprised at how much work writing can do to help you.

As sure as the sun rises in the east, one or two people have already gone through what you’re going through. You just need to do some research. Ask your mentors about your problems. Consult the experts in the industry. You’ll be able to find some good tips, I’m sure.

After you’ve done your research and you’ve sat down with your mentor and discussed the concern with him, go back to your team and brainstorm. Remember, your team is one of your most valuable resources. Each person knows something about your business so hear them all out. They might have some great ideas which you could use.

Plan B

Don’t forget to ask your team to always prepare for the worst. Don’t leave the meeting with just one “sure” way to solve the existing problems. Things change. Be flexible with these changes. Have a backup plan.

Decide to solve it all costs

Resolve to overcome everything that’s in your way. As the entrepreneur, you should be the first one to believe that this problem can be solved. Not just in the mind, but really believe it in your heart. Only then can you truly take on the challenge.

You have to be keen on learning whatever you can. If you don’t then everything will be in vain. There’s so much to learn. You can also use what you learn whenever similar problems or challenges come your way.

Always celebrate a job well done. Once you’ve solved the problem, reward yourself. Take a vacation. Reward your staff as well.
