A great workspace

Nothing beats a very good workspace. Working environments are one of the biggest factors that affect your productivity. There’s a major difference between spending time in a tidy, aesthetic area or a bowling alley dumpster. When you work well in your workspace, you become more productive and at ease to take on more work.

Here’s a list of things that you might want to have in your workspace:

Great view

I always take small breaks all throughout the day and I’m a very visual person. So whenever I rest my eyes to look outside, especially with a great view, my efforts seem to be all worth it.

Good drinks

I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love it when I have a ready cup of coffee with me in my work area. I don’t know, but it just makes me work really well when I have some coffee to sip on. The caffeine is great, but I believe it’s the relaxing feel to drinking coffee that soothes me. Whenever I have a cup of coffee, it takes me back to peaceful mornings outside the house, overlooking the city.

Put some plants around

I love to look at green leaves. I don’t know if green does make your eyes relaxed, but I love green because it reminds me of nature. I love hiking and trekking and the smell of earth and trees and plants just relaxes me. Add some oxygen machines around your office. They can provide some color and fun to any workplace.

Good chair

Now this is not for relaxation. But a good chair—something that is ergonomically designed is always a great way to make your work great. You don’t want to get those aching muscles because you strained your back and shoulders due to a bad chair.

Clutter-free

Clutter is an aesthetic problem as well as a mental problem. Clutter just makes me go crazy. I don’t know about you, but it disrupts the whole balance in the room. It also reflects the kind of person that you are. So as much as possible, try to declutter your workspace.

Helpful music

I say helpful and non-distracting music. People tend to use music that distract them. Too loud or to soft. I’ve found that a little jazz or classical background music helps me think more and helps me with my mood, and can even help me focus more. Some people can focus with any kind of music. I’ve found that the stuff without words typically work the best.

Your thoughts

What do you think? What do you do to your work environment to make it work for you? How does it help you? What would you like to add?
