26 Ultimate Home Offices For Freelancers

Every freelancer needs an awesome office, right? While we may be able to work occasionally in the coffee shop, you’re never as productive (at least while coding) as you are in your office. There you have a full keyboard and mouse, dual screens and a tester computer.

Most of us have to make due with what little space we can find in the house. But what if you have a whole office dedicated to your freelancing business? What does it look like? Is it messy? Organized?

I’ve been dying to redo our home office and am getting close to getting started. While we were originally going to go with an “Asian” theme (every room in our house is based on a different time period/theme) I might have to change it after looking at some AWESOME office setups.

My Office Now

As you can see, we have 3 computers, 5 monitors, peripherals and a craft desk (for my designs, scrapbooks, etc). I’m extremely OCD about organization and this isn’t cutting it right now. The modular cubes that make up the storage area and craft desk were cool at first – but I hate open shelving and clutter.

There’s simply not enough space for our work gadgets and storage. Plus, there isn’t much in the open in the way of design yet.

If I had the money to do my dream office, what would it look like? Here’s a great collection of inspiring office spaces for the rest of us humble freelancers.
