Release date for Apple iOS 4.2
Most of you who own one of the Apple-branded devices know and are excited about the Apple iOS 4.1 which will be available on September 8th . During the Apple Live event you also saw Steve Jobs telling everyone that the iOS 4.2 release date has been decided, too. So, expect the iOS 4.2 to be officially available on November this year.
Basically the iOS 4.2 is made for the iPad, but it will also be compatible with most of the Apple devices. Rumor has it that it’s going to be a free update when it arrives. You can just imagine what your tablet will be capable of doing once you have your iOS4.2.
The iOS 4.2 means that you’ll be able to do different things like multitasking – as is the case with the regular iPhone 4. Moreover, you’ll get to make your tablet a little bit more exciting and intuitive with wireless printing, folders and AirPlay. The update will give you the printing options by simply hitting the right key. The AirPlay feature allows you to stream media files from your computer to any Apple device over Wi-Fi.
There have been hints and rumors of a possible delay for the release date. I guess that is probable since the iOS 4.1 will be debuting in a matter of days now and with lots remaining to be fixed, there is a general feeling that the iOS4.2 may not come at the expected schedule.
Anyways, let’s just keep our fingers crossed with the schedule originally set by Mr. Jobs. Who knows, he might be able to keep his promise.
