Dell rings the bell with its new 7-inch tablet

So the onslaught of the tablets is getting more interesting as the days go by. And take note, it’s only a matter of days or weeks when another company goes out with their own version of the tablet mobile device. That goes to show that they are indeed serious in the competition. And this time, Dell’s ringing the bell.

Dell appeared on stage at the Oracle OpenWorld conference in San Francisco on Wednesday and Dell Inc Chief Executive Michael Dell showed off a new seven-inch table, and by the looks of it, it’s running on Google’s Android software.

As you already know, the company released the Streak, a five-inch tablet last month which is now available only through their online store, and at Best Buy stores next month.

On the tablet…

Dell executives said the company planned to make tablets with larger screen sizes. Being the world’s no. 2 (not bad) maker of PCs, has been expanding its portfolio of devices to offer to the market and has emphasized on mobile devices. A slew of tablets has hit the market or is expected to in the coming months, including offerings from the likes of HP, Samsung, and Toshiba to name a few.
