It’s Coming…

clutterpad square logoWell, it’s been a long time in the pipelines but the beta release of Clutterpad is on its way!

What is it?

An online project management and collaboration tool to help you get things done.

Assign todos. Chat with others. Manage and share files, contacts, events and information. Get things done efficiently.

When we’re overloaded with work, our minds get cluttered with information and our desks with paperwork. Clutterpad is a place to manage that clutter. Assign tasks and then forget about them. Manage (and backup) your files and share them easily. Keep all your team’s communication with a contact in one place. When did you last speak to them? Who said what? Keep everyone’s schedule online. Share information and arrange it the way you want.

It does what you expect it to do – the way you would expect it to be done.

No bloated features that few people use. Only those that are really needed.

Light and Fast
Making you more efficient, not slowing you down.

Elegant Design
Pleasing to the eyes. Enjoy working.

User Centric
Because we are people – not just managers, employees and clients. We may work for different companies or have personal projects as well as work. One account across your projects to get an overview of everything concerned with you. If people are happy, projects will succeed.

Get all the latest happenings across all your projects from a single place in a simple way.

Simple Todo lists with due dates and assignees. Know who assigned the task, when it is due, and who it is set for. Colour codes show you at a glance when messages are overdue (red), due today (amber) or due in the future (green).

The essence of collaboration is communication. Emails are difficult to follow, they clutter up your inbox and are hard to manage. Keep all your messages related to a topic together in the message board and perform detailed searches to find what you are looking for.

Chat Rooms
Send instant chat messages to clients and colleagues. Show others your ideas immediately by uploading images, videos and documents directly onto the chat window for all to see. They will automatically be saved for you in the files section. Search your chat sessions later by user, message contents, date and more.

Who? Which company? Where’s the number? Manage all your contacts and view all communication your project members have had with each contact.
Add pictures and files to the contact. Share your contact information to others or keep them private.

Upload and share your files with others in your project (or keep them private). Create folders and sub-folders, compress files online before downloading, preview images, perform individual and bulk file operations (delete, copy, move, rename).

A place to create documents and edit them as you please. Get others to help you write your resume, presentation report or any other document. You can compare versions and see all the changes that you and others have made.

When’s that meeting? When is Adam taking time off work? When is Sarah arriving from Hong Kong? Use the calendar to share your events and view the events of others too. Set reminders so you don’t forget.

Looking forward to taking a look at this. I have been writing about GTD and productivity for 2 years and would like to speak to someone about this. Please e-mail me.

    Thank you.

We are a software development company that uses GTD, and we’d be interested in this when it launches. I can see how this would be very applicable to the software development industry.

How is this different than Basecamp?

  15. MKMK03-12-2010

Chad, Basecamp is a great tool and I used it myself some time ago. However, for our purposes, it was simply not enough. I’m sure it is still great for some people. Clutterpad differs in many ways, but you will have to use it to really appreciate the differences. Here are a few:

    1. Clutterpad is user-centric. That means you don’t need to have different urls / accounts for different companies. Ths means that you can view all your todos / messages / etc for all of your projects for all companies from a single page. You can search through all your contacts, files, messages in all your projects from one page. There’s no need to have multiple browser tabs open if you don’t want to. Of course, you can also view stuff on a per-project basis too.

    2. Clutterpad has a fully functional calendar with reminders and lots of other stuff.

    3. Clutterpad does not have a flat file system. You can upload files, create folders, drag and drop files and folders, right click etc – so it’s very simple and easy – similar to the file manager on your own PC.

    4. Clutterpad has a contacts organizer. Every project requires contacts – suppliers, clients, other people. You can log all your communication with them here.

    5. Clutterpad includes a private chat bar which you can use for your work – no need for separate IM clients. This is especially useful if you are somewhere where IM is blocked and you want to be able to talk about work with your colleagues, for example.

There are lots of other differences but these are the main ones.

    Clutterpad has finally launched!

We are all very excited and have had a fantastic response. Thanks to all for your support.
